Moon phases ! 🌚✨…⛤

In my studio we have been learning about Maramataka and the phases of the moon. Rachel made us a Maramataka slideshow about Maramataka and the moon, on our create when we finish it we get to pick out of 3 things.

1. Create a garden planting guide to the Maramataka.

2. Write a poem that reflects the emotions or events associated with each lunar month. Try to incorporate some Te Reo Maori.

3. Create art showing each moon phase of the Maramataka using black paper and pastel. Make sure you label each phase.

I picked number 3!  picture ——>

The phases of the moon our: New moon, Waning crescent, First quarter, Waning gibbous, Full moon, Waning gibbous, Last quarter, Waning crescent!

Explanation: Rakanui is the best time to do high energy activities and to fish, plant and harvest. Whiro is on the opposite side and Whiro is the best time to rest and be very quiet at Whiro and resting and low energy is very very common. People used to follow the moon to guide them.

What do you know about Maramataka? Thank you so much for reading my blog post about the moon and Maramataka !  🌚 …

Our Space Dome Adventure!🌌 ☄24/6

Today me and my Space dome class went to the hall to meet Harry and Sam.🪐 At first there was a GIANT black bubble, it had the shape of a fish with no head and fins 😄 The walk way was so fun! It was like a squishy bouncy castle. But we were NOT allowed to bounce on the sides or anywhere else because it was really expensive – it was 60000$ dollars – so if we broke it, we payed for it. Gladly no one damaged it. Harry was our first teacher, he was teaching us about ALL of the planets.🕳 He zoomed in to all of them and told us about them – like what happened to them would you survive on those planets how long you would stay on a planet and all of that stuff.😁 But my favourite with Harry was when we zoomed into the planets and looking at our school on the map.😊 I learned that Mars is really REALLY cold you would probably freeze instantly!😂🪻And that Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system!

Thank you for reading my blog post 😀 And thank you Erica.V for taking everyone! ✨┌(★o☆)┘

Epro8 Fishing rod with Sharon 🐡🍥

Today me and all of Rachel’s group were with Sharon because of CRT (Cool rise team) We were making a fishing rod with a epro8 kit. It was only my 3rd time using the epro8 kit so I didn’t remember that much but I was still good with everything and I knew what to do after watching the epro8 videos for a tutorial to do my groups fishing rod. My group people were: Ailla, Mikayla, and Caitlyn😄 All the groups got a piece of paper with instructions and hints to make the fishing rod properly! Ailla and Mikayla were helping making the rod. While I was screwing on the bits and bolts to secure it in case. While Caitlyn AKA Mikaylas cousin was getting all the supplies we need. I enjoyed working with my buddies and helping them and talking and screwing on the bolts.

Thank you very much for reading my blog post! 🎉
